Do you ever have left over candy canes and never know what to do with them? Do they get lost in your cabinet or thrown away? If you’re like me, you probably have leftover candy canes from last year. My love for Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha’s inspired the idea for these white chocolate candy cane lollipops.
To make these super easy candy cane desserts, you will need candy canes, white chocolate, sprinkles and lollipop sticks.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lay two candy canes in a heart shape on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Add a lollipop stick in-between the candy canes. Place in oven for 3 minutes. Take out and push the ends together. Set aside to cool. Make sure you don’t let the them cook for too long or your candy canes will actually melt. Trust me, I found out the hard way when I put them in the oven, forgot to set the timer and forgot they were in there! *face palm*
Melt chocolate according to package directions. You can either place in a baggie, snip the end and fill each heart or use a spoon to fill each heart.
Sprinkle immediately with colored sugars and place on the candy Holly’s.
Let dry and enjoy this fun treat for Christmas!
These white chocolate candy cane lollipops not only are great for Christmas, but you could also make these for Valentine’s Day too! Simply use red and white (or pink) striped candy canes and Valentine’s Day sprinkles in place of the Christmas ones.
Do you always have leftover candy canes every year? If so, what do you do with them? I also like to use my left over candy canes by breaking them into tiny pieces and sprinkling them in my coffee or hot chocolate! Candy canes make great stir sticks too!
