Can you believe that September is already here? It’s almost time to put those summer clothes away and bring out all the Fall fashion! Fall is my favorite season!
IN CASE YOU DON’T KNOW, HERE IS HOW STITCH FIX WORKS:
- You start by filling out your style profile – you will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, fit/cut, pricing (I choose the cheapest category), style preferences – colors, prints, fabrics, etc. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. *** Important Note: Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like!*** (This has been truly beneficial for me because my stylist ALWAYS tries to find similar items that I have pinned to my Pinterest board).
- Order your first fix! Your card will be charged a $20 styling fee however, if you keep at least one item you will be credited back the $20. Because of this, I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20 for nothing in return. You will receive 5 items (made up of clothing, jewelry, handbags, and shoes). I personally only want clothing in my fix so I chose to not receive any accessory items and marked that in my style profile.
- You have 3 business days to decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (don’t worry, Stitch Fix also provides a pre-paid postage envelope so you don’t have to worry about paying for shipping to send any items back). During this time, try on the items, mix and match them with pieces already in your wardrobe and don’t be afraid to try something on even if you initially don’t like it when you first pull it out of the box. You may be surprised on what items you love after you try something on! *If you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix.
- When you check out – Leave feedback!!!! This step is super important so your stylists knows your likes and dislikes!
***Just to note: I chose to receive monthly boxes; however, this is in no way a subscription service. You choose how often you want to receive a fix. This can be every 2-3 weeks, monthly, every other month, every 3 months, etc.
Remember – If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for the item or something similar!
Fall Fashion Fix
Blu Pepper – Rachela Two Pocket Top & Report Footwear – Alexa Slip On Sneaker
I thought the Rachela Two Pocket Top was a great add to fall fashion. The top is super comfortable and the burgundy color is a fantastic additional to a fall wardrobe.
The Alexa slip on sneakers were cute, casual and comfortable but are a bit wide for my feet. The little zippers were convenient for giving you more room to slip your feet in.
Le Lis – Vernon Mixed Material Top & Lila Ryan – Louise Skinny Jean
The Vernon Mixed Material top is another great edition to fall fashion. The red, yellow and orange colors are perfect to blend into a fall wardrobe. However, I did not like the material of the body of this shirt. It was pretty scratchy and I would definitely have to wear a tank underneath. The arms of the top are really soft though.
The Louise Skinny Jeans are super comfortable and have a nice stretch to them. The burgundy color is great to incorporate into fall fashion. You could easily dress these jeans up or down. Very versatile.
DJ & Juju – Francie Back Detail Pullover
The Francie Back Detail Pullover I fell in love with when I opened the box. It is so soft and I absolutely LOVE stripes…but then I saw the backside *insert sad face* The back detail is cute, but it was hard to hide my bra. I definitely can’t run around without one so sadly, this top had to go.
Which piece(s) would you have kept from this fix? What did you think of this Stitch Fix maternity fix? Do you think these items make good maternity pieces? And if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below as well! Also, if you’d like, you can check out my previous fix here!
