Hello Summer and my new Stitch Fix! It may not officially be summer yet, but here in Virginia it’s blazing hot and definitely feels like summer. Luckily for me, my stylist Megan selected some great summer items such as cold shoulder tops, summer dresses and tanks!
IN CASE YOU DON’T KNOW, HERE IS HOW STITCH FIX WORKS:
- You start by filling out your style profile – you will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, fit/cut, pricing (I choose the cheapest category), style preferences – colors, prints, fabrics, etc. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. *** Important Note: Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like!*** (This has been truly beneficial for me because my stylist ALWAYS tries to find similar items that I have pinned to my Pinterest board).
- Order your first fix! Your card will be charged a $20 styling fee however, if you keep at least one item you will be credited back the $20. Because of this, I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20 for nothing in return. You will receive 5 items (made up of clothing, jewelry, handbags, and shoes). I personally only want clothing in my fix so I chose to not receive any accessory items and marked that in my style profile.
- You have 3 business days to decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (don’t worry, Stitch Fix also provides a pre-paid postage envelope so you don’t have to worry about paying for shipping to send any items back). During this time, try on the items, mix and match them with pieces already in your wardrobe and don’t be afraid to try something on even if you initially don’t like it when you first pull it out of the box. You may be surprised on what items you love after you try something on! *If you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix.
- When you check out – Leave feedback!!!! This step is super important so your stylist knows your likes and dislikes!
***Just to note: I chose to receive monthly boxes; however, this is in no way a subscription service. You choose how often you want to receive a fix. This can be every 2-3 weeks, monthly, every other month, every 3 months, etc.
Remember – If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for the item or something similar!
I’m calling this one the Summer Cold Shoulder Fix!
Market & Spruce – Fabrizia Cold Shoulder Kimono
This kimono is so pretty! It would be great on a cool summer day or to layer over top a swim suit. Is there ever an item you wish you would have bought, but didn’t? Yeah, I send this one back and am kind of regretting it now.
Vince Camuto – Tadenia Cold Shoulder Cotton Top and Vince Camuto – Tadenia Cold Shoulder Cotton Top
This top is really cute and I love the colors and stripes! But I was having some strap issues. This top just didn’t fit on my body right. The straps seemed to be too long and it did not fit in the chest area.
I love, love, love Liverpool jeans and these were no exception. Only problem is, being 2 months post-pregnancy, I am in between sizes right now. I could barely squeeze myself into these jeans, which is a bummer because I really needed a new pair of white jeans.
French Gray – Tula Brushed Knit Dress
I cannot even begin to tell you how soft the material of this dress is. If you’ve ever tried LuLaRoe leggings then you know they are as soft as butter. This dress feels the same!
American Able – Casey Cross Front Knit Top
I liked this tank because it’s one of those items that you can dress up or down. It’s perfect for a date night or a laid back summer day.
Which piece(s) would you have kept from this fix? And if you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below as well! Also, you can check out my previous fix here!
