2. Nauticus: This contemporary museum appeals to kids and their parents alike. There are loads of interactive experiences surrounding maritime subjects and it’s where you’ll find the Battleship Wisconsin. So, whether your family is more interested in learning about marine life or exploring a real battleship, this museum is for you!

3. Virginia Zoo: Kids love the zoo and it is one of the most family friendly places in Norfolk. This world-class zoo is open year ‘round, plus it houses over 500 animals. From tigers to giraffes and even behind-the-scenes tours, animal lovers won’t be disappointed with what the Virginia Zoo has to offer.

4. Ocean View Beach: No trip to Norfolk and the Hampton Roads area would not be complete without a trip to the beach! Ocean View Beach Park not only has its beautiful beach with lifeguards and a beach handicap access ramp, but also a gazebo with live music, presentations and dancing, a boardwalk, children’s activities, cornhole games, food, beverages, lots of open green space and more!

Chrysler Museum of Art: With plenty of family-friendly space, like the Wonder Studio where exhibits are enclosed in glass for up close viewing, kids will be enthralled with the learning opportunities available here. There’s even a family and student art gallery!
