Could your life use a little streamlining? Of course it could. Fall is one of the busiest seasons of the year after all. The kids’ after school activities alone call for fall calendars, organizers and planners. Am I right? Luckily, daily planners are so much better than they used to be. Gone is our mom’s over stuffed organizer. Today’s planners are easy to navigate and so helpful if you commit to using them! Forget about those tiny planners that barely have room for all your engagements.
Your ideal daily planner will go beyond your daily schedule and help you hone in on what you need to do not only in your day to day life, but your personal goals, and any upcoming plans that are on your agenda too. They cater to your whole life. And isn’t that what all busy moms need? We need one place we can go that helps us navigate it all. That’s why it’s time to start using fall calendars, organizers and planners to help you feel less scattered! Now is truly the perfect time to start…
Why Should You Use A Planner?
Two words, time management. If you’re diligent about documenting your schedule and to-dos, you’ll have a detailed accounting of your appointments and tasks. And don’t forget to pencil in fun! Once you start to get good and organized, it’s easy to lose sight of entertainment. It deserves a spot in your planner too!
And think about how much your productivity level will increase. To-do lists you can physically check off help keep you on track. Plus, the more organized and planned out you are, the less stressed you are. You will see what you’ve done and what you still need to do. Fall calendars, organizers and planners are aces for honing in on which areas in your life need improvement..
How Can You Get the Most Out of Your Planner
There are no hard and fast rules for optimizing your daily planner, but I do have some suggestions to help you get the most out of it.
Look at it daily – The more you use it, the more in tune with your planner you’ll be. Add something to your planner, or at least review the week ahead every single day.
Don’t separate your work and personal life – Normally, I wouldn’t suggest that, but when it comes to planners, using only one for both your work and personal to-dos streamlines things.
Use all the sections – They’re there for a reason. Use the daily section for each day’s tasks that you need to get done and the weekly and monthly sections to help you map out goals that are less immediate.
Be detail oriented – Some of us aren’t naturally good with details, so making it a habit to be as descriptive as possible with your planner entries will cut down on the likelihood that we’ll miss something important.
